School District Must Hand Over Documents In UNLV Student’s Death

And Subsequent Cover-up Alleges Lawsuit

 

A federal judge has ordered the Clark County School District  hand over documents and to participate as defendants in a the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Angela Peterson.

Peterson was killed when a vehicle driven by Kevin Miranda crashed into her. Miranda, who was intoxicated, was driving home from a party at the home of a school police dispatcher.  The lawsuit alleges that  nearly a dozen school police employees supplied alcohol to Miranda during the party, allowed him to drive home and covered up their involvement.

The incident lead to the resignation of former CCSD Police Chief Filberto Arroyo.
